The Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) has developed a series of effective measures to support young researchers. Within the SFB 953, these concepts form the basis of the support for young researchers working in the scientific fields of synthesis, modification/functionalization, and characterization of synthetic carbon allotropes and related structures. The foundational idea is to promote and support the next generation of researchers at all levels. In this context, the different departments participating in the collaborative research center have all proven to be very successful in their early career support measures.
